Parmeet Singh Boparai is a longtime resident of Northeast Calgary with his wife and two children. As an engineer, small businessman, and a community advocate, he is well aware of issues facing Alberta families.
Parmeet was elected as the MLA for Calgary-Falconridge and has been named the Official Opposition Critic for Service Alberta & Consumer Protection.
He has served the community as president of Dashmesh Culture Centre and chairman of Khalsa School Calgary. He has also mentored youth including helping those interested in joining the Canadian Forces.
Parmeet also volunteers with non-profit organizations in important issues like mental health, substance use, and anti-bullying.

Members in good standing must have joined the Alberta NDP on the 14th day prior to the nomination meeting in order to be eligible to vote in the nomination. For example, if the nomination meeting is scheduled for May 15th, the individual must have purchased their membership on May 1st.
